“OUR NHS SERVICES RECEIVED QUESTIONED”
Message posted by cheryl on 02 August, 2007:
Do we have basic human rights when it comes to expecting a duty of care when we put ourselves in the hands of COMPETENT practitioners being paid to deliver this within the NHS? Often the NHS i find is responsible for a percentage of us becoming disabled or in having long term illnesses in the first place and from my own experience ALWAYS affect our entire family, our local community and the wider community. It costs our government more money long term also.Should we be getting Central Government involved? I think so. I feel it necessary to set up a group that deals with this specially. What's your views? Thanks for reading and participating. All replies/suggestions welcome. This affects us all, today for me tomorrow WHO KNOWS whose turn it will be to suffer at the hands of incompetent practitioners.

I definitely think the NHS should be more responsive to the people it serves. It is well meaning but it would work better if they had trustees taken from the general population and involved their users.
