Designed to be simple, straightforward and accessible, the website offers users the ability to access information about organisations that offer health and wellbeing services, support for carers, advice on getting personal support, volunteering opportunities, advice on financial, budgeting and legal matters; museums, theatres, arts and faith groups, and more.
While the website is an useful tool for any resident , it is hoped that it will be particularly helpful for anyone who receives a personal social care budget (an allocation of money to support their day-to-day needs) as they will be able to find and choose organisations and groups who provide services that most suit their needs. In addition, if a user wants to have fun, ‘Your Care, Your Way’ lists local activities and events in their area.
The website has benefitted from the input of social care customers, who have tested the website and suggested ideas to make it better. Feedback has been positive from testers telling us the website looks attractive and is easy to use, helpful and informative.
