Wheels for Wellbeing wins another award

Congratulations to DASL's partner organisation, Wheels for Wellbeing. The innovative Brixton-based charity which supports disabled people to cycle picked up another prestigious award this week in a ceremony held at City Hall.

The London Health Commission Health and Wellbeing awards recognise achievements of small community based groups and small and medium businesses at the forefront of improving the health of Londoners. Mayor Boris Johnson presented the award for Active Travel jointly to Wheels for Wellbeing and Hillingdon Slipstreamers and praised both for “exemplifying what can be achieved by the hard work of local communities.  Both groups are increasing skills and confidence of cyclists”.
