Two LD traineeships with Council available

The Lambeth Inclusive Future Employment (LIFE) project is a groundbreaking collaboration between Mencap, Lambeth Council and CAPITA that will generate new local employment opportunities for people with a range of neurodiverse conditions.

They have two traineeship opportunities in Lambeth council as part of the LIFE project and fully supported by Mencap.

To be eligible, candidates must be aged between 19-24 and a Lambeth resident.

- A role in the ICT department’s support services; if successful the candidate will then go on to a part-time (16 hours pwk) paid role
- A role in the parks department (if successful the candidate will then go on to a part-time (10 hours pwk) paid role

If you know of anyone that would be interested in either opportunity, please get in touch and/or complete the referral form.

There can of course be reasonable adjustments if required – i.e., if someone is especially nervous about coming into the workplace then a short placement could be arranged.

The programme is designed to put the candidate at the centre of the process, whilst acknowledging that there is a job of work to be done.

David Curtis is the Project Manager and is happy to hear from any of you with questions, comments, concerns.
