Successful First Carers’ Hub Forum
Over 60 people attended on the day and got involved in debating carers’ issues with Elizabeth Clowes from Lambeth Council’s Commissioning Services as well as hearing from the Carers’ Hub directors of each charity involved in the consortium, which is delivering the new carers’ services. Following the debate, there was an opportunity for carers to express what they felt about services in Lambeth in the focus groups. Afterwards, lunch was provided so everyone could meet up and socialise.
We will be writing up what happened during the forum in more detail for the next newsletter, which will be out mid-May, just in time for Carers Week in June. We will also update the Carers’ Forum page on our website at http://www.disabilitylambeth.org.uk/carers/i-carers-forums/ where we have also added some photographs to give you a taste of the day.
