Have your voice heard in the Mayoral elections

Inclusion London wants to make sure that London’s Deaf and disabled peoples organisations (DDPOs) have the opportunity to get their voice heard in the forthcoming mayoral elections. It is running a Mayoral 'asks' consultation and would like your views.

In just four months’ time, London will be going to the polls to elect the Mayor of London. The Mayor has a range of important powers that will directly affect the 1.4 million Deaf and disabled people living in London.
Inclusion London wants to make sure that London’s Deaf and disabled peoples organisations (DDPOs) have the opportunity to get your voice heard in the forthcoming mayoral elections. To this end Inclusion London will be:

• developing a Deaf and disability equality manifesto that will be detailing the work we want all the mayoral candidates to commit to and;
• holding a mayoral hustings with all mayoral candidates on Tuesday 20 March 10.30-1.30pm at Coin St, 108 Stamford Street South Bank, London SE1 9NH
• this will be an unique opportunity to put your comments and questions directly to the candidates.

It wants its manifesto to be your manifesto too and reflect the priorities you want the Mayor to work on.  It would like you to spare 15 minutes to take part in a mayoral ‘asks’ consultation. It would like you to complete the consultation form by simply marking with an x the ‘asks’ you want included in the manifesto and then to prioritise the 2 most important asks under each theme heading. The consultation document also includes background information on the mayors role and responsibilities and information on facts and statistics relating to Deaf and disabled people.

Inclusion London needs your completed response by Monday 5 March

Go to Inclusion London website to download the consultation document.

If you need assistance with completing the form please contact Libby on or call 020 7237 3181.
