FREE Carers Workshop

Caring with Carers
As an unpaid carer this is your opportunity to develop the
knowledge, skills and confidence to make a positive
difference to your life and that of the family member or
friend you care for.

At Guys and St Thomas’s we are offering anyone who cares,
unpaid, for a friend or family member who cannot cope without
your support a FREE half day course.
The course aims to build on your caring expertise by developing
your skills to care for yourself and the person you look after.

The course, will include workshops on safe moving and handling, mouth
care, personal hygiene, skin care, self-care and managing medications.
You are welcome to attend as many courses as you like, at each course
you can up to TWO workshops.

All courses take place at Guy’s Hospital:
Sherman Education Centre, 4th Floor Southwark Wing,
Guy’s Hospital, Great Maze Pond, London, SE1 9RT

Sessions start at Morning 10am or Afternoon 1.15pm
Dates Currently Available:
Thursday 17th August 2017
Wednesday 4 October 2017
The course is open to people who care unpaid for a friend or family member over
the age of 18 who, uses Guys and St Thomas hospital services or live in boroughs
of Southwark and Lambeth.

Refreshments will be provided and travel and carer cover reimbursed
