Art in the Park - Lambeth Disability Hate Crime Stall

Art in the Park - Sun 15 Jul 18 2-5pm
The theme is “Inspired by Brixton Windmill" and on offer will be old favourites and lots of new exciting workshops to entice adults and children to explore their creative talents inspired by this surprising building.

Favourite activities from previous years include designing a T-shirt with Lamonte, origami with Jeff, and painting or drawing the windmill with support from local artist Glynnis Brooks.

New workshops for 2018 include: constructing metal models of the windmill with Joanna, flower and leaf printing with Kim, salt dough modelling with Tricia, creating homes for solitary bees with Laura, making collage pictures of the windmill with Susana and fun crafts for younger children and their adults with Matty.

Most of the workshops will use natural resources collected in Windmill Gardens or recycled materials. All workshops are free, but donations are welcome to cover the cost of paints, paper, coloured pencils, crayons and T-shirts.

Enjoy tea, coffee, cold drinks and delicious home-made cakes in the Windmill pop up café.

Brixton Windmill is open all afternoon for free guided tours.

This event has been supported by a generous donation from Blenheim Gardens RMO.
