A male carer is required for a disabled boy aged 10, whose family speak Portuguese.  The boy requires support with getting up in the morning, washing, dressing, eating and getting to the school bus, as well as support with activities in the afternoon or at weekends.

10 hours per week:  7-8am Monday to Friday + 5 hours to be arranged flexibly from week to week, afternoons or weekends, according to the availability of individual candidates.

Permanent contract, £10.20 per hour, 5.6 weeks paid leave pro rata.

Busy, young, black man with learning difficulties is looking for an enthusiastic PA/Support Worker and Admin worker or someone who can do both jobs. The person employed will ideally be familiar with the experience and activities of a young black man, also an excellent communicator who wants to make more of the job than just to be paid to provide support.
You will gain a unique perspective on learning difficulties, disability and enabling inclusion.
With others in our small and talented team, you will have numerous, stimulating, varied and interesting opportunities.
In order to support your work you will learn a wide range of skills and imaginative and creative techniques, including ‘Makaton’ signing, facilitated communication and person-centred organisational and planning tools.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
• PAY: £10ph – £14ph
• During 12 week induction period pay is£10ph.
• Pay increases to £11ph after successfully completing first 12 weeks.
Subsequent increases happen as part of ongoing appraisals process.
• Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks will be carried out.
• Preferably you will live in Lambeth or surrounding boroughs or can easily travel to Brixton hill.
• Permanent employment for up to 40 hours 5 days a week.
• Hours are flexible so can also be 10-20 hours a week over 2 or more days.
• Pay includes paid annual leave.
• External supervision, training and all overnights are paid at the national minimum hourly rate
• Specific and ongoing training, guidance and external supervision is provided, with particular focus on any needs you may have in making inclusion happen and developing relationships with individual who is being assisted, his family, community and other contacts.
• Following reference checks, successful applicant will be able to begin a trial period immediately

I am looking for two full time (37 hours per week) live out Personal Assistants to help me - a 28 years old male. I have Duchenne muscular Dystrophy and I am a full time wheelchair user.

The role of a Personal Assistant is a unique opportunity to help make another person’s life a little easier. I am looking for someone who is caring, compassionate, fun and energetic, who is also easy to get on with.

You will help me with all aspects of personal care including washing, dressing and toileting, shopping, outings, escorting me to meetings and social appointments, administration of medication, meal preparation, cleaning, etc

Previous experience and skills in caring for someone with complex care needs is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.

As a Personal Assistant you will be:

Be punctual, reliable and flexible where needed
Able to peak clear and fluent English
Have a valid right/permit to work in the UK
Possess a clean driving licence and the ability to drive confidently in the UK is desirable but not essential.
Able to provide a current DBS certificate, or be happy to apply for one if needed.

I am looking for 2 Personal Assistants to join my team. Ideally you’d be available to work for 37 hours per week across shifts from 7am to 10pm between Monday and Sunday at my home in Brixton.

The rate of pay is £10.20 per hour, dependent on experience.
