Direct Payments User Group

The Direct Payments Support Team facilitate four User Group meetings per year. These meetings are for people already using Direct Payments and those interested in taking them up. They give users the chance to share ideas and experiences, solve problems together and talk to key professionals from the Council as well as to DASL's team.

Meetings always include news and updates on what’s happening with Lambeth’s Direct Payments scheme and one or more special topics.  Recent meetings have included discussions on :

- Plans for Self Directed Support in Lambeth
- Lambeth’s draft Strategy for People with Physical and Sensory Impairments
- Building an independent peer support network
- Training personal assistants

The meetings are lively and informal and everyone has a chance to ask questions and suggest ideas. Notes from every meeting are circulated to all DASL’s current Direct Payments clients.
