What does the User Involvement Service do ?

Because this is now a combined user involvement service for disabled and older people, we are working with Age Concern Lambeth to decide the priorities for the new service. Some of the key tasks for the new service will include :

- Supporting users to be involved in the Disabilities Partnership Board and the Older Persons Action Board

- Involving service users in the planning and tendering of key Council and PCT services

- Developing and supporting groups through which disabled and older people can come together to have their say on key issues

- Training and supporting users to investigate the quality of services and feed this back to service providers

- Researching and publicising key social policy issues affecting disabled and older people
