Lambeth Centre for Independent Living
The consultation programme on what disabled people want from the CIL concluded at the end of March 2011 with a very successful public consultation meeting, attended by over 50 people, on 29th March at the Accord Centre.
The main focus of work for early 2012 is to open a One Stop Shop for Disabled People at The Accord Centre. The One Stop Shop is ready for use and we are now looking for volunteers who can offer time during the week to help us to staff it. You can find out more about the One Stop Shop here
Here is a leaflet which summarises the latest stage in the development of the CIL and tells you more about the One Stop Shop - Lambeth_CIL_Leaflet_January_2012.pdf
The report on the consultation programme has now been produced and can be downloaded at Lambeth Council’s CIL webpage
You can contact Elaine Aherne by email or by ringing 020 7926 4704 for more details about the consultation programme and the work of the CIL Steering Group.
