Taking DASL’s services to the community

We are always keen to take our services out into the community to reach more disabled people as directly as we can and to raise awareness of what we can offer as Lambeth's leading user-led disability organisation.

If you have an event you think it would be helpful for us to attend, would like someone to come to visit your community group or perhaps speak to your users or just want to contact us to discuss other ways we can work with you please email on

We have been taking our information stall to popular local events and had a great response from people who have wanted to find out more about our work.

In 2009 we were at Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park. It took more than some disappointing weather to put off our enthusiastic staff.

This year the weather was better and we had plenty of interest in our stall and our prize competition about famous disabled people.

September saw us at the lively Stockwell Expo event in Larkhall Park where we shared our stall with Adrian Harris, the Manager of Lambeth Accord, who was showing people the architect’s plans for the exciting refurbishment which is proposed for the Accord Centre at 336 Brixton Road.
