Advice and Information Service

The Carers’ Hub offers face to face information, advice and assistance with welfare benefits and is also able to help with housing, community care and other issues including applications for ‘Fix Yourself a Break’ grants.
Appointments are at The Accord Centre, 336 Brixton Road and other centres and home visits if needed. Where appropriate, carers may also be referred to other services including Every Pound Counts for help with benefits, and other local advice agencies. As the service develops, advice and support will also be available through a mixture of regular drop-in sessions at different community centres in the borough. More details of the locations and times of the drop-in sessions will be advertised soon. You can contact the Advice and Information Service through the Carers’ Enquiry Line.
If you have impaired hearing and sight or you feel your sight and hearing are not so good anymore, there are specialist information and advice services you can contact, more details at Deafblind UK and SENSE.
